Fresh from the success of the first round of the 2007 Formula One World Championship Race in Melbourne, Australia last March 18, race drivers and F1 enthusiasts alike are all now headed to Sepang in Malaysia this coming month for its second round. Excitement and anticipation can be felt throughout
Malaysia as the 2007 Petronas Malaysian F1 Grand Prix draws near. Ticket sales for the said event already reached the 20,000 mark as estimated by the Sepang International Circuit – the host of the second leg of the race.

The F1 World Championship series this year will have its second round on April 6 to 8 at Sepang, which is at the southern part of Selangor near
Kuala Lumpur.

The 2007 Australian Grand Prix – the opening race of the World Championship series — saw Kimi Raikkonen of Finland winning the first round and beating defending World Champion Fernando Alonso of
Spain, who came in second place. Finishing third is England’s Lewis Hamilton while Nick Heidfeld of
Germany came in fourth.
Italy’s Giancarlo Fisichella landed the fifth spot in the race.

A large turnout of F1 fans from Singapore, Thailand, and
Indonesia is expected at the coming Malaysian Grand Prix as stated by Izuddin Rosli – Sepang International Circuit’s Sales and Sponsorship Manager.

The third leg of the race will happen on April 13 to 15 in Bahrain right after the Malaysian Grand Prix and will continue onto the fourth round in
Barcelona, Spain on May 11 to 13.
Brazil will play host to the last round of the F1 World Championship series on October 19 to 21.
